उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार में केले के फ्यूजैरियम विल्ट (टी आर-4) के प्रबंधन के लिए रणनीतियों पर विचार मंथन बैठक

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ एवं राष्ट्रीय कृषि विज्ञान अकादमी, लखनऊ खंड द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से दिनांक 20.08.2019 को उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार में केले के फ्यूजैरियम विल्ट (टी आर-4) के प्रबंधन के लिए रणनीतियों पर एक विचार मंथन बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। इस बैठक का मुख्य उद्देश्य आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकांट की सफलता का स्मरण करना था और आगे इसके पंजीकरण, लाइसेंस और बड़े पैमाने पर लोगो द्वारा अपनाने हेतु प्रौद्योगिकी को मजबूत करना था। बैठक कृ.वै.च.मं. के सदस्य डॉ. पी.के. चक्रवर्ती की अध्यक्षता में हुई। उन्होंने जैव सुरक्षा, टी आर-4 के नए क्षेत्रों में प्रसार रोकने के लिए संगरोध नियम, देश भर में फैली पनामा विल्ट बीमारी की भू-स्थानिक मानचित्रण, निदान की नई रणनीति एवं आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकांट के लाइसेंस और पंजीकरण की आवश्यकताओ जैसे प्रमुख मुद्दों पर जोर दिया। डॉ. ए.एन. मुखोपाध्याय पूर्व-कुलपति ए.ए.यू, गुजरात, डॉ. बी.एम.सी. रेड्डी, पूर्व कुलपति-वाई.एस.आर.एच.यू. एवं पूर्व निदेशक भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने भी इस सन्दर्भ में अपने विचार रखे। बिहार एवं उत्तर प्रदेश के 5 कृषक; श्री विपिन कुमार सिंह, श्री अमरनाथ झा, श्री पंकज कुमार, श्री अमरनाथ प्रभाकर, श्री शालीराम ने आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकांट तकनीक अपनाने के अपने अनुभवों और सफलता की कहानियों को साझा किया, जिससे उन्हें अपने क्षेत्रों में पनामा विल्ट के प्रभावी प्रबंधन में मदद मिली और साथ ही साथ अच्छे आर्थिक लाभ के साथ अच्छी पैदावार हासिल की। इन सभी किसानों ने पिछले 2 वर्षों में निरंतर समर्थन और मार्गदर्शन के लिए डॉ. टी. दामोदरन और डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन, निदेशक भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. की टीम का आभार व्यक्त किया।

A brain storming meet on strategies for the management of banana Fusarium wilt (TR-4) in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar was jointly organized by NAAS Lucknow Chapter and ICAR-CISH, Lucknow on 20.08.2019. The main aim of this meet was to commemorate the success of ICAR-FUSICONT and further strengthen the technology for its registration, licensing and large scale adoption. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. P.K. Chakrabarty, Member, ASRB. He emphasized on key issues like biosecurity quarantine rules to prevent the spread of TR-4 in new areas, geospatial mapping of Panama wilt disease spread across the country, new strategy of diagnosis and licensing and registration requirements of ICAR- ICAR-FUSICONT Technology. In this context, Dr. A.N. Mukhopadyay, former-VC, AAU, Gujarat, Dr. B.M.C. Reddy, Former VC-YSRHU cum Ex-Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow also presented their views. Five farmers from Bihar and U.P. viz., Mr. Vipin Kumar Singh, Mr. Amarnath Jha, Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Mr. Amarnath Prabhakar and Mr. Shaliram shared their experiences and success stories of ICAR-FUSICONT technology adoption which helped them in effectively managing Panama wilt in their fields, as well as achieve good yields with good economic returns. All these farmers expressed their gratitude to Dr. T. Damodaran and Dr. S. Rajan, Director ICAR-CISH team for their continuous support and guidance throughout the last 2 years.
